{about me}
I grew up on Fox Island, WA - near Gig Harbor. I come from a long list of home builders and watched my father build many homes, including the one I grew up in. Most people who know me know that I have a fascination with home design and a major curiosity with a home’s history. I particularly love old homes; the older, the better. The first home I was apart of rehabbing was a 1925 Craftsman in Ballard, and the second was a 1908 prairie-bungalow, which was to have been built by one of Frank Lloyd Wright's drafters. I have a passion for being able to respect a homes past by taking care of it and making it new, so it has the ability to have a future for years to come. My intrigue with design, the real estate industry and working with people created an atmosphere for me expand into a career of being a realtor.
When I am not working or in the midst of a renovation, you can find me chasing after my three little ankle biters, errrrr, I mean my lovable children. I am a lover of running, listening to good music while making delicious food and spending quality time with my family and friends.
I love to learn new things and strive to always think outside the box. I highly dislike the word “no”, as I believe there is always a way. I am a firm believer that if you try hard enough and spend the time, you can always find a way to make something work.
Ballard has been my home for more than 10 years and I have absorbed myself in its amazing community. Three years ago, I myself was in the home buying process which enabled me to explore the greater Seattle area. I was able to learn and know more about the schools, parks, walkability and special characteristics of the many neighborhoods that make up Seattle. It was a great refresher to the ever growing and up and coming pockets of our surrounding areas. Seattle is a mover and a shaker, with not much sleep, kind of like myself. :-) It is expanding at an absorbent rate and more people are spilling into our area than most have ever seen. This is a great time for Sellers, but not so much Buyers, which has Helped in creating this crazy market we are in now.
I have a creative and active mind that I have a hard time shutting off. I find fulfillment in taking charge of whatever is in front of me, which has been a huge benefit to my clients thoughout their home buying and selling process. Buying and/or selling a home can be very exciting, but it can also be one of the most stressful times in a person's life. It can be emotionally draining, financially weighing, and filled with many questions. "Am I making the right decision?" or "Is this location the best fit for my family?" I continue to remember the hesitation and second guessing I had when going through all of my own personal buying and selling experiences. It is my goal to make this time as stress free and positive as possible. And I will remind you, as a client, what an exciting and powerful experience “your” process is.
I work with passion and will be your biggest advocate.
